The seed fund LAUNCHub, which is supporting the most promising entrepreneurs and digital startups in Southeastern Europe, is looking for another batch of entrepreneurs for the upcoming 9th edition of the Long Weekend Selection event, scheduled for April 2015 in Ljubljana Slovenia.
Further to LAUNCHub’s new initiative Monday Office Hours for talking to the best tech entrepreneurs in Southeastern Europe, the fund announced that the whole month from February 23 through March 23, 2015 will be dedicated to selecting teams that will be invited the event.

The team advised that before registering for a Monday Office-Hours session, teams are invited to fill in a detailed questionnaire to help them get a better understanding of the startups’ product/solution, team and traction before inviting them for a talk. It is absolutely necessary that all forms have a Finalized Status in order to be considered for application.
As part of LAUNCHub’s selection process, the mentors will be holding one-day Meetup events in different cities. “We are starting with Bucharest on February 26 and Chișinău on March 12 and 13, 2015. The visits are planned in partnership with Microsoft Ventures”, said Marina Handjieva, Communications and PR Manager for LAUNCHub.
Among the Fund’s latest investees are Prizmos, Reloyalty, Fliiby. Recently, LAUNCHub also followed on three of its portfolio companies with a total investment of 170 K Euro (CheckYeti, Equafy, Viblast).
Since 2012, LAUNCHub has invested and committed 5.7 million Euro in 53 startups from 9 countries in Europe and has managed to attract another 5.8 million Euro of co-investment funding, seeing through a couple of next rounds, including two Series A and a few joint rounds with participation from angels and other seed investors. The fund, based in Sofia, invests in micro-seed and seed stages, tickets ranging from 30,000 to 200,000 Euro. The investments are granted in exchange of equity.
