The LAUNCHub Seed Fund recently announced the start of its new dedicated round for applications for seed funding starting the 13th of May through June 9, 2014.
The Bulgarian fund announced its latest 6 investments last week (Romanian team Jukebox being among the startups selected by the seed fund), following the selection process earlier in February this year, and now, the LAUNCHub team is looking for more teams to welcome on board the LAUNCHub family of 41 cool startups and more than 120 founders.
Team, vision, traction – LAUNCHub’s expectations are to meet cohesive and committed teams with a good understanding of the markets and consumers they are addressing.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to present all relevant information on traction achieved so far, first customer reviews, feedback and metrics on their products and services. Previous experience with accelerator programmes or in raising angel money is welcome. This dedicated application run is aimed at companies targeting larger amounts of financing up to 200K Euro.
The culmination of the LAUNCHub funding selection will be the s special selection event in the first weekend of July 2014, where shortlisted teams will have the chance to pitch their ideas and get approved for seed investment. Successful applicants will be offered funding of up to 200K Euro in exchange of equity.
Since 2012, LAUNCHub has invested of over 3 million Euro in 41 startups from 7 countries in the SEE region, including Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Croatia, Greece, Slovenia and Ukraine and has attracted over 3 million Euro of co-investment funding, seeing through a couple of next rounds, including two Series A and a few joint rounds with participation from angels and other seed investors.
LAUNCHub’s focus and expertise lies within the Digital Tech Sector and our investments are mainly in dev tools, edtech, healthtech, entertainment, cloud infrastructure and enterprise software.
The fund is partnering on a strategic level with Seedcamp and Mozilla WebFWD. LAUNCHub operates under the Entrepreneurship Acceleration and Seed financial instrument of the JEREMIE initiative of the EIF and EC.
